Emotions.
They can feel like facts sometimes; certainly, due to their intensity.
Sometimes we fall fool to our emotions because they have a tendency & habituality to cloud our judgement.
Anger. Sorrow. Grief. --- the list goes on, and they are sooo damn real.
Emotions have the ability to blind us – and believe words, actions or ideas to be true…. I'm not saying that our emotions are not real or worthy of feeling - because they most certainly are.
Our emotions are often indicators of: a sense of urgency, change, or danger.
Often, I find the importance in life is to recognize:
what exactly our emotions are communicating to us - to do an inventory check with ourselves of how real, honest and true our emotions are ---> In relation to the situation we are dealing with.
To check in and say,
“hey!” to yourself.
Glance in the mirror and observe ourselves for a moment in time.
to breathe.
allow healing.
then breathe again.
...perhaps after observing ourselves to take a step back --->
And say to ourselves okay – “perhaps, yes - I do, hold value in this world.”
Because our world can feel so vast, daunting, and lonely sometimes.
AND ALSO!!!...(both can coexist together)
...that breathing in and out helps remind us that breath itself - it's a gift.
By slowing down to breathe for a moment helps remind us that we are NOT only are we blessed with the ability to breathe - we ARE blessed with the ability to be a human being ---> on this beautiful thing we call earth.
So, take a moment, if you are feeling overwhlemed.
Glance in the mirror. Observe your state of being - take a DEEP breathe. and give yourself some grace; because for goodness sakes you are only human.
Much love and light to you. You got this.
